Would Jim Morrison really be turning 75 later this year? Hard to believe, but it’s true. Had he lived, no doubt the Lizard King would still be hanging around West Hollywood. We traced a number of his local haunts in celebration of 75th birthday happening in December.

These are the places where some of the most memorable music moments happened in West Hollywood.

The Extension (former site)

Today’s it’s an Al & Ed’s Autosound but back in the 1960s it was called The Extension and it was also a regular hang out for Jim Morrison. This is where he’d often meet with journalists to give interviews and in fact, the now famous Rolling Stone magazine interview with Jerry Hopkins was conducted at this site.
